Drama - Character Recital
One character only – costume optional. 12 and under is an ORIGINAL character devised by the student with teacher or parental assistance and therefore not found in an existing story, play or monologue. 13-18 years Character recital MUST be created from a character in a novel or from a play or film script. Source must be cited on script.

Groups of 3-8 Perform a GROUP MIME TO MUSIC. Music is to be brought along on the day Time limit is 3 minutes. The theme of the mime to Music can be Literal, Narrative or Expressionistic, but not a DANCE. |
COMPETITORS SHOULD AVOID THE USE OF WORDS AND MATERIAL THAT ARE NOT REGARDED AS ACCEPTABLE IN A FAMILY GROUP OR POLITE SOCIETY. CONTESTANTS USING “UNACCEPTABLE” WORDS COULD FACE DISQUALIFICATION.
